Introduction of new examination system and new syllabus effective from 2021

Educational Qualification : Graduate * Age : PSI - 21 to 35 years * ASI - 20 to 35 years
Exam-Module :A candidate must be mentally competent to become a PSI / ASI / AIO / IO. One should be mentally Tough and Physically Fit. For that purpose, the examination system was created It has been done in such a way that only able youth can pass in it.
Stages of Preliminary Examination : Selection on the basis of competitive examination Below for the candidates who want to get appointment by direct recruitment The examination will be conducted in the three phases shown.
In the first phase : Physical Test to select candidates for Preliminary Examination will be held.
Preliminaries to select the candidates of main examination in Second Phase Exam will be held.
The final selection of candidates in the Third Stage is the main examination and Based on the marks obtained in physical test.
Note: Interview will not be included in this selection process.
PHYSICAL TEST
50 Marks
Candidates have to qualify in physical test as per rules.
Preliminary Examination (Objective)
2 hrs|100 Marks
Subjects will be General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Psychology, General Science, Questions related to History, Geography and Sociology at Graduate level.
Mains Exam (Objective)
Exam Pattern of Police Sub-Inspector / Intelligence Officers:
Question Paper 1 Gujarati Language (2 Hours) 100 MarksQuestion paper 2 English Language (2 Hours), 100 Marks
Question Paper 3 General Knowledge (2 Hours), 100 Marks
(General Knowledge, Current Trends and Psychological Matters),
Question Paper 4 Legal Matters (2 hours). 100 marks
Paper 4 will test basic knowledge of the following laws Questions will be asked. [1] Constitution of India
[2] Criminal Procedure Code -1973
[3] Indian Penal Code -1860
[4] Evidence Act -1872
The following laws will be asked only in the 23rd exam.
[5] Gujarat Police Act -1951
[6] Gujarat Prohibition Act -1949
[7] Abolition of Corruption Act -1988
[8] SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act -1989
[9] Motor Vehicles Act -1988
Prelim and Mains Exam
* There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer.
* All questions 4115001 are compulsory.
Special Marks Weightage:
[1] Additional 2 marks to candidates holding Certificate of Excellence will be given.
[2] Degree/Post Graduate offered by Rakshashakti University Candidates who will have obtained Diploma further as below Marks will be given.
Marks obtained in Rakshashakti University Degree / Additional Marks to be obtained in Post Graduate Diploma
Distinction(15) | First Class(12) | Second Class(9) | Pass Class(5)
(3) Marks obtained in Main Examination and Physical Test, out of 100 Two marks and Rakshashakti University if available Final selection considering the additional merits of degree/diploma A list will be prepared.

Candidate must clear physical test. The candidate who completes the race in less time will be given special marks as per the rules.
