The full form of NEET is National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), which was formerly known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), which is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programs in Indian medical and dental colleges. This exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The examination, which offers 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS Colleges of India, is conducted in the month of May every year.
A candidate who wishes to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their prime & compulsory subjects in 10th & 12th standard and must have cleared these subjects. The candidate has to show their passing certificate at the time of the counseling round. Marks in Mathematics are not considered in the NEET-undergraduate exam (NEET-UG).
Moreover, this famous examination is conducted in several languages such as - English, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Gujarati, Urdu Bengali, Telugu. Kannada, and Assamese. The time span of this examination is 3 hours wherein the candidate has to cover 180 questions of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) Sections.
